(2012.02.04) Mr. Laurence Tam writes from Hong Kong, "... The art event I took part today was the Prize Presentation Ceremony for the “Young Geniuses: Art Competition-cum-Exhibition 2012” at the Lam Woo Conference Centre of the Baptist University. This competition/exhibition aims to promote and develop young children’s creativity at the age range of 1 to 6, and to raise the awareness of parents and teachers on the significance of nurturing children’s creativity.  The idea of the event was first put forward  by Prof. Dominic Lam, a past student of Wah Yan College, Hong Kong.  He is the Head of the University's newly created Institute of Creativity (IoC).   The mission of the IoC is to explore mechanisms by which creative talents can be developed and nurtured.
