Warm greetings from Koh Samui, Thailand.
We write with joyful hearts to share a special family moment — our daughter Vanessa celebrated her wedding in a beautiful beachside ceremony on 25th October 2025. The day was blessed with gentle rain and a soft breeze, adding poetry and tenderness to the occasion. Vanessa’s radiant smile, dancing with the raindrops, made the celebration truly unforgettable.
We were deeply moved by the presence of family and friends, including several healthcare colleagues and anesthesiologists, as well as Benny’s classmates from Wah Yan College Kowloon. Their support, spanning generations, filled the day with warmth and meaning — a wonderful reminder of enduring friendship and shared legacy.
Although we had kindly asked our guests not to bring gifts, many responded with heartfelt generosity. In the spirit of gratitude, we wish to donate all the monetary gifts received. If Wah Yan College — or any alumni-led initiative — is currently involved in meaningful projects, especially in the areas of responsible entrepreneurship and sustainable charitable development, we would be honoured to explore how we might contribute.
With our warmest wishes for your continued health, happiness, and meaningful endeavours,
Winnie & Benny Wan (WYY '81)
I have compared Deepseek and ChatGPT, and it seems that Deepseek excels in solving math problems. I provided the same prompt to both tools to evaluate their performance:
“A man is standing on one side of a river, with two parallel banks 10 meters apart. He needs to swim across the river and then run 20 meters along the opposite bank. He swims at a speed of 1 meter per second and runs at a speed of 6 meters per second. Rather than swimming directly perpendicular to the riverbank, which path should he take to minimize his total travel time?”
