My Dear Wahyanites,
In times of uncertainty and controversy, what we need is calmness and wisdom, not violence. Democracy without loving respect would amount to crudeness and leadership void of the spirit of service would amount to authoritarianism. Neither crude democracy nor authoritarianism can bring joy and peace to our community.
We would like to have your great support in participating "WALK WITH WAHYANITES" on Saturday, 26th October 2014, the first 90/95 Anniversaries event out of four.
This is a Walkathon which is different from those you joined before. Please see the highlights below:

Father James Hurley S.J. retires to Ireland on his 88th birthday on October 1.
Father came to WYK as a scholastic in 1954 and was Formmaster of Form 4D. Mr. Vincent Lo Chun Hong, senior mathematics teacher, was in his class. Afte one year, Father left for home to complete his studies as a Jesuit.
Since his return to Hong Kong, he has been living at the Fathers' residence on the top floor of WYK and often partipates in school activities.

這是一個快樂的下午，天氣極好，舊生們回到九龍華仁書院，參加人造草足球場的開幕禮。
把一大片凹凸不平、光禿處處的草地，變成容易打理的人造草場，絕不容易。感謝工程的發起人，也感謝許多出錢出力的校友和師生；齊心，事成。
我的足球技術很糟，這天，居然有機會穿着整齊的隊衣和足球鞋，參加友誼賽，對手是比我年輕六載的學弟。.....

黃昏，中學同學問我想不想去探望老師，我說好。
老師是一位神父，八十多歲，住在宿舍。
記得中三那年，神父教我們倫理，常常安排校園以外的訪問。第一次外訪的目的地竟是一間道教廟。
「你是天主教神父，怎會帶我們來這裏？」我問。
「因為你應該認識自己的文化。」神父微笑道。....
WYK has started a new house system with 4 houses named after famous Jesuits. They are respectively (1) Loyola (red) House; (2) Xavier (white) House; (3) Faber (blue) House; (4) Ricci (green) House. The first house meetings will be held on 15 September 2014.
