Fr. Joe Hampson at WYK

Father Joseph Hampson, who leads the Jesuit Refugee Services in Thailand, recently visited Hong Kong for an important meeting with Cardinal Chow. During his visit, he had the opportunity to attend a calligraphy class at Hamilton College, taught by Mr. Chiu. Father Hampson thoroughly enjoyed the session and was especially intrigued by a list of Jesuits who have played a significant role in our school’s history.

While reflecting, he shared personal memories of Father Herbert Dargan, who served as his mentor during his tertianship in Ireland in 1984. Father Hampson spoke fondly of Fr. Dargan and expressed great interest in learning more about him and other Jesuits who have contributed to the legacy of our school.

To honor Father Hampson’s interest and make his visit even more meaningful, we are collecting stories and memories about these Jesuit Fathers, particularly Fr. Dargan. If you have any personal anecdotes, reflections, or treasured memories, we warmly invite you to share them. These contributions will become part of a heartfelt collection, celebrating the enduring impact of the Jesuits on our school community.

Thank you for your support and for being part of this meaningful effort!
