A social group called ‘The Society of Wah Yan’ has been set up in University of Toronto. Here is the brief description of the association.
"The society of Wah Yan is the alumni association for students that graduate from Wah Yan College Kowloon and Wah Yan College Hong Kong. The society’s aim is not only to provide a platform for wahyanites to social, but in the later stage, give back to the society." Click here for more info.
From Fr. Stephen Chow, S.J., Supervisor of both Wah Yans,
"My dear fellow Alumni,
Before the official beginning of the summer break, I would like to take the opportunity to express, on the school’s behalf, our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. George Tam for his tireless efforts in bringing the SDP to its fruitful completion. In the two years since his official retirement as principal of our School, our new School Hall has completed its construction, we have been enjoying its great facilities, and Mr. Tam has secured a handsome maintenance fund for the Hall.
After July 2015, Mr. Tam will have completed his final official role as a Special Adviser of the School. But he will continue to enjoy his honorary title as ‘Principal Emeritus’ of the School, which was given to him upon his retirement as principal. Mr. Tam will also be moving out of his current office shortly after July. However, we can expect to see his friendly face and enjoy his hallmark laughs on our campus and during our functions long after this month."
From Monty Fong of WYKPSA,
"We are most pleased to inform you that the Marathon 2015 Campaign has been smoothly completed last Sunday. 145 out of our 160 runners finished their races. Two members were ranked top 20 among 7,000 runners in the 10km Run One session. Unfortunately, the amount of donations received to date was only around $200,000. Thus we would like to extend our donation period until 31 March 2015 to galvanise more support for sports development in the two Wah Yans. Click here to read the appeal letter.
Please feel free to click: http://www.wahyanonefamily.org/marathon-2015.html to enjoy the photos taken on the Race Day morning. Thank you very much."
