We are excited to invite you to a special Escape Room + Drinks Gathering this June! This event offers a nostalgic Hong Kong-themed escape room experience followed by a casual drink session to reconnect with old friends and welcome new alumni.

🕑 Time: 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM
📍 Escape Room Venue: Hong Kong After Dark (7501 Woodbine Ave Unit 7, Markham) [link]
🍹 After-Event Drinks: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM (venue TBD)
🚗 Carpool Pickup: 2:00–2:15 PM @ Don Mills TTC Station (for those who need a ride) [pin]
🎟 Participation Fee: (Escape Room) $30 per person
🔹 Group Size: Limited to 10 participants for the escape room
🔹 Goal: A balanced mix of established and newly arrived alumni (4-6 each)
After the escape room, we welcome all interested alumni to join the post-event drinks gathering, even if you didn’t participate in the escape room!

WYKAAO 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Lunch will be held on Sunday October 26. More details will be available closer to the event.
WYKAAO held its 2024 Annual General Meeting on Sunday October 27 at Chef 88 Oriental Cuisine, followed by a lunch gathering well attended by members, families and friends. A number of members were joining the event for the first time, many of whom have come or returned to Canada in the last few years. We also saw two new directors joining the Board in the coming term.
The Award is open to students whose aggregate total of their best six Grade 12 credits gained in 2023~2024 academic year is 480 or over. Details of the award, its qualifications and the application form can be found here. The completed application form must be submitted on or before 20th October 2024.
Successful candidates will be notified and announced at WYKAAO Annual General Meeting on Sunday, 27th October 2024. This year a lunch gathering will follow the AGM.
Wah Yan Alumni Activity Day organized by the alumni associations of WYK and WYHK in Ontario was held on Sunday September 8. This year we were joined by Sacred Heart Canossian College (SHCC) Alumni Association Ontario with a total of about 70 participants. It was a crisp and sunny morning, perfect for hiking the Sheppard's Bush and Oak Ridges Trail in Aurora, followed by a dim-sum lunch at Golden Palace Banquet Hall. Click here to see more pictures.
Over 30 attended the networking lunch, many of whom are relatively new or returning to Canada in the last couple of years, on Sunday July 28 at Chef 88 Oriental Cuisine. Following a brief self-introduction and a sumptuous lunch, alumni went off to talk in small groups, knowing each other better and exchanging contacts. This year on Sunday September 8, we will again hold the Wah Yan Alumni Activity Day jointly organized by the alumni associations of WYK and WYHK in Ontario. Sacred Heart Canossian College (SHCC) Alumni Association Ontario will be co-hosting the event as well.
Members and guests are invited to join the following activities:
1. Hiking
Venue: Sheppard's Bush and Oak Ridges Trail (in Aurora)
Time: 9:30am (meet at the parking lot)
2. Lunch
Venue: Golden Palace Banquet Hall 金廷宴 (in First Markham Place)
Time: 11:30am
Following our last networking lunch, we are going to hold another one mainly for those who are relatively new or returning to Canada in the last couple of years. Many new alumni had arrived since then and it's time to connect again. Alumni from both WYK and WYHK are welcome.

WYKAAO held a Gala Dinner celebrating its 40th anniversary at Crystal Fountain Banquet Hall on Sunday January 28, 2024. Being the first major event since the pandemic subsided, the turnout was above expectation. During the program, announcements were made that a number of activities are being organized to commemorate the centenary of Wah Yan College Kowloon in the 2024-2025 school year.
