CCCC Day 3, June 2, 2014.

This is a day of resting and planning for the next 3 days.

To recap the few limitating factors of my planning :

With my chronic bad lower back, plus riding all day, it is important for me to be sleeping on a bed, not camping or sleeping on the ground. I also bring a CPAP machine for my sleep apnea. That means that I will need proper lodging with power supply. Margaret also wants me to stay at decent hotels/motels for safety because I am traveling solo.

Another limitation is that my motorcycle needs servicing every 5,000 Km, and new tires every 10,000 Km. That will be a new concept for you car drivers! With the motorcycle, at any one time, there are only two postage stamp sizes of rubber meeting the road. We cannot tolerate a hesitating motor or unreliable tires. Unfortunately there are no BMW Motored dealers or services in the Maritime provinces. Therefore, I have to plan with Toronto as the centre of my travel.

Things that I cannot plan for :
weather
road construction
detours

VPC chauffeured me to Edmonton General Hospital to visit one of my ex-patient and friend. She was visiting Edmonton a few years ago for a weekend, but ended up in E.R. for kidney failure. She has been stuck in Edmonton ever since, having renal dialysis 3 times a week, with no friend or family here. She was so happy to have visitors. She is still in line waiting for a kidney transplant, may be up to 1.5 years later.

Party Crasher!
It is VPC/Linda 's 41st wedding anniversary today. They have a dinner with family members and in-laws at a Chinese restaurant. I was the only out-law!

Life is good.
