My family and I would like to express our heartfelt thank you to the Wah Yan Alumni family for the overwhelming tributes that were shared in WYKAAO, Jerrett book of memories, and with my family.

Over 300 family and friends attended my father’s funeral services to pay respect to a remarkable man.   My father has had the opportunity and honour to serve and positively impact many lives. He was very fortunate to have had a blessed life with lifelong love and respect of friends. In addition to the great teacher and talented person many saw in Chun Yuen Anthony Ho; above all, my family was fundamentally the core in my father’s life. He has been our protector, our rock and centre of our family and we will miss him dearly. We hope we were able to share this other side of my father with you in our eulogies and at the services.

Thank you to Edmund Der (’54), Wong Hin-Shing (’61), and Don Chen (’71), for their warm tributes to my father at the Friday night service. Also thank you to the many students whom my sister Sabina, brother Patrick and I got to know during their visits to my father at Mon Sheong and/or hospital. We were amazed at the number of people who took the time to make these visits which helped to encourage my Dad to stay strong. We were also able to learn more about our father and felt the strong connections they have with him from these interactions.

As faithful Catholics, we know our father is now in a peaceful place. He is no longer suffering from his earthly pains and he is now in paradise with the angels.

My father’s legacy will live on in all those he has touched; and of course, his legacy will live on in his children and grandchildren. We only hope we can continue his values and sense of community and service in our lives.

Thank you and sincerely,

Teresa Ho (何珮玲)
