About WYK
"Father Naylor retired as a teacher after serving Wah Yan for 47 years. His last lesson was held at 9 o'clock in the morning of June 7th. Students across time came back to express their gratitudes and say the words of thanks to our beloved Father. Father Naylor is happy to see us all even we are not good at words. Dr. Allan So of Class 1981 posted on Facebook, 'Thank you so much for what you taught us. It changes the whole life of me. Thank you!' . We welcome our alumni to unveil more untold stories about Father Naylor through the social media platform." -- Benny Wan (81)

Father Coghlan wrote in the eighties, ".... I have identified thirty seven different kinds of birds in Wah Yan .... to join their friends in the freedom of Wah Yan....
I would like to share with my readers some of the joy and pleasure I experience from seeing and hearing so many birds all through the year....
My fond hope is that some of my readers will begin to explore the beauty of the bird life of Wah Yan.... I promise you loveliness all the days of your life."

Father Finneran Cup is WYK's annual event which provides a platform for current members of the team to play against alumnus for the trophy. This year, current team members had proved themselves as the 2nd runner up in the inter school tennis competition which they defeat alumnus easily and prevail. Nevertheless, the result is insignificant which the purpose of this event is to strengthen the bonding between current students and alumnus through sharing the joy of tennis. Furthermore, through this event, the team would like to commemorate Father Finneran, who was the former coach of WYK tennis team back in the 80s. After a fabulous afternoon of exciting tennis, the current team members were also invited to have a buffet in Sheraton Hotel with the principle and different alumnus. A brief ceremony was held during the dinner and rewards were given to the team members by the principle. It was a wonderful day and we hope to see you all in the next year’s Father Finneran Cup!

Wah Yan College Kowloon is an aided school with a large campus, whole-school small class teaching, a resulting above-standard staff establishment and a wide range of extra-curricular activities. However, the School receives standard rates of government grants as any other aided school, and therefore it needs additional funds to subsidize the repairs of aging school buildings, the replacement of old equipment and furniture by new ones, and educational activities of students especially those under-financed by Government and other sources. The 2012/13 school year marks the 60th anniversary of the Waterloo Road campus, and the School has launched a fundraising campaign.
WYKAAO has been a keen supporter of the campaign and has raised $11,925 HKD so far for the School. Please click the image to read the acknowledgement letter from WYK.
