"Much pain has been caused over the in-take issue, all with the best intentions.
Though not directly addressed to many, I hope all who love WY, will respond and pray for the healing and work for the future in unity of heart, mind and action. A.M.D.G.
I'm copying to HK Jesuits, WYK SMC, my beloved Form 2 (1966), and a few on WYOFF, in Vancouver, Anthony Ho in Toronto..... I think Fr. Deignan won't mind if Monty (WYOFF) and Tom Ho (WYKPSA) ... could circulate this letter around more alumni. We are living the Passion and hopefully the Resurrection of Christ through these events.
Many thanks for all the love for WY expressed in different ways throughout the world." -- Fr. George Zee

From WYKPSA in HK, "We are pleased to inform you that the One Family Marathon Team had completed the 2011 Marathon Race successfully today (20 February 2011). What’s more encouraging, our young runners had showcased a strong team and fighting spirit as they turned up at 5am and helped each other in the warm up session. Albeit a cool morning with some drizzles, presumably all our runners completed their run in joy.
Thanks to the generosity of many of you and other philanthropic people, the Foundation had managed to raise HK$1 million this year and secured a pledged donation of HK$100,000 per annum for the next 3 years. The fund raised will be allocated to support the continuous development of sport in both Wah Yan." (more pictures and the press release)

"You will be glad to hear that Fr. Deignan seems to be much better now. I visited him yesterday and have just phoned him now. He will almost certainly be out on Saturday.
"On Sunday, Feb. 6, at about 11 a.m., Fr. Frank Doyle was taken from the Arrupe International Residence (Manila, Philippines) to the hospital. Scan revealed a blood clot in his head. Frank is still in the ICU, Medical City, Manila. He is paralyzed on one side and speaks with difficulty though he can recognize people." - Fr. Stephen Chow
Friday, Feb 11, 16:40 message from Jerome who visited Fr. Doyle: "According to the doctors, Fr. Frank's condition is deteriorating. The blood clot in his brain remains and pressure is building up. The edema (fluid leakage due to the pressure) in his brain has increased considerably. Fr. Frank is now intubated as a precautionary measure. The doctors said that if his condition does not improve, they might have to remove part of his skull to lessen the pressure in his brain."
