This year WYKAAO had once again sent a team to participate in the charity table tennis tournament organized by New Horizon Lions Club at My Table Tennis Club on Saturday May 18. The team advanced from round robin preliminaries but lost a hard fought battle against another team in the play-off. Team members Bill Ip, Steve Fung, David Ho and Jeff Mah nevertheless enjoyed the event very much gaining experience for them to become a stronger team in the future.
WYKAAO plans to continue to participate in Terry Fox Run 2019 this September. Details will be posted once they are available.

It was Mr C K Wong who urged the head teacher of Fuk Wing St Government Primary School to start a scout group. She OKed it and it came into being. Three Wah Yan boys Thomas Tam, Yam Kai Sun 任啓新, and I joined as leaders., For me and Thomas it was a return to the fold of Scouting like the lost sheep. To me personally, it was a turning point in my life. Its principles and ways have become mine in everything I did and do.
Mr Wong had just passed away at the age of 101!

WYKAAO will once again participate in the Terry Fox Run this year (Sunday, Sept 16). The run site chosen is our favourite Markham-Unionville location, a major part of the route inside the Toogood Pond Park with breath-taking scenery (1km-route map, 5/10km-route map).
For a number of years, we have been proudly supporting The Terry Fox Foundation in its ongoing work to fund innovative and progressive cancer research programs. Please support our team by joining, or making a donation. Your kindness will impact the lives of so many people living with cancer.
