明報周刊 2460 期 ≪我種的樹五十歲了≫‏

An article on John Loo ('67) appears in January 2, 2016 issue of the 明報周刊.   He wants it posted so that we can know him more.  Please click any photo to read the whole article.

The tree is on Wylie Road, inside "Wah Yan College Kowloon". You can search Google Map for a satellite shot of the vicinity. Then when you find "Wah Yan College Kowloon"you will be able to see a swimming pool. This tree is near the swimming pool but it grows stretching out of the school. Turn to Google Map street-view now, and you can move along Wylie Road and see that the tree has a singular grandeur, dwarfing all the passers-by or the passing cars.

John is in orange tee shirt in the colour photo. The black and white photo shows John active in the CLC back in school days.

Congratulations to Peter Li Sing Sang (66)

 It was announced yesterday that Peter Li will be invested as a Member of The Order of Canada in 2016.

The Order of Canada, one of the highest civilian honours, was established in 1967, Canada’s centennial year, to recognize outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation.

Peter Li to a group of CLC friends 2 Jan 2016 -  I managed to publish my collection of Chinese poetry earlier this year (楓林晚照  詩詞集).  The book has 200 Chinese poems of mine, mostly Ci, written over the past 25 years....

" From Jesuit: Our beloved Fr. Anthony Farren. S.J. went to God at 12:30am this morning, 26 December, Irish time.  He died very peacefully.  The family has requested he be buried in Carndonagh, County Donegal. "__ Monica Tang, former teacher of WYK now teaching in Toronto, writes from Hong Kong.

Please keep Father Farren in your prayers and stay tuned to arrangement of memorial service in Toronto.
