2018 Spring Dinner was held on Saturday March 31 at Emperor Fine Chinese Cuisine. Close to 70 alumni, family members and guests attended the event. Wilson So (’82) did a brief presentation on California wines followed by sampling of ‘cult wines’. Other highlights include ex-WYK teacher George Mak and William Lai (’78) first time in attendance, Edmund Der (’54) saying grace, and Mr. Anthony Ho updating on his latest conditions. December Board Meeting was held at the private dining room of Markham Mon Sheong Court followed by a celebration dinner well attended by the family members along with our guests. Click here to see more pictures.

AGM 2017 was held on Saturday October 14 at Emperor Fine Chinese Cuisine, followed by a dinner with the attendance of over 90 alumni, family members and guests. Alumni of class years ending with ‘7’ were honoured and Jeremiah, son of Wilson So (’82) was presented with the Scholastic Achievement Award. First timer Teddy Cheung (’00) joined the gathering with his young family and it is encouraging to see the young wahyantes currently studying in universities at the dinner too. Wah Yan Soccer Team had a friendly match with CUHK alumni on Sunday September 24 at St. Augustine Catholic High School in Markham. Everyone had a good work-out and enjoyed a nice game despite an unusual hot weather of over 30 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.
The Award is open to students whose aggregate total of their best six Grade 12 credits gained in 2016~2017 academic year is 480 or over. Details of the award, its qualifications and the application form can be found here.
