With months of preparation, the first Inter-School Table Tennis Tournament was held on Aug 10 in Markham. 12 teams from 9 Hong Kong high school alumni associations (see the list here) had entered the whole-day competition. After a number of hard-fought matches in several rounds, our Team A (from left to right in the picture: Mike Yam (74), Michael Luk (76), David Ho (70), Allan Lee (70)) captured the CHAMPIONSHIP of the tournament. Excellent Effort and Congratulations!
The tournament was followed by a socializing dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Thank you to those who came to support our teams. Click here to see the pictures taken during the event.

(Aug 4th) On a weather-perfect Sunday, WYKAAO had its annual picnic held at Milne Conservation Park with close to 90 members, families and friends attended. Everyone had a great time enjoying delicious food outdoors while meeting up or making new friends. Our past president David gave a demo on his culinary skills, followed by a couple of games. See the pictures here (album 1, album 2, album 3).
The flag was designed by Leo Chu (67)to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of 11th Kowloon Group.
Annals from the first issue of The Shields (1953) will continue to be uploaded in albums on Pictures Page.
