"Having been in Hong Kong for quite a while, we visited the Wetland Park in the northern border of New Territories this afternoon (Chinese New Year Eve) and were lucky enough to plunge into a very friendly and beautiful tiger in one of the display galleries inside the Park. Hence, we are sending you our greetings together with a tiger for the Year of the Tiger." - from Laurence Tam & Margaret.
Happy New Year of The Tiger.
We learned from Father Kennedy:
Tiger, tiger burning bright;
In the forest of the night;
What immortal hand or eye;
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry.
….(The Tiger by William Blake)
Wishing you all the opportunity to see the beauty in the mysterious unpredictability of the world and the courage and calm of the Tiger as you respond to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead,
The Cheetahs (1960)

To: WYK 57’ Old Boys
From: Chung Yu and Chok Yu

Subject: A Call To Reconnect
Both of us believe the 57’ class was very unique in the history of the Waterloo Road WYK. In our case, we opted to transfer from the Robinson Road WYHK PM School to the brand new WYK on Waterloo Road in 52 simply because of its impressive buildings and beautiful grounds. Since the PM school closed shortly after, there were quite a few others who also transferred. So, the 57’ class at graduation was made up of both former WYHK PM and Nelson Street WYK students. We remember Ho Nim Cho mentioned that he and our dear friend Philip Lo Oi Lun came from the Nelson Street WYK.
Have dreams?
We have 張愛玲的亂夢 and Robert Brownings's Bad Dreams.
Yearn to travel?

Larry performed at WYK Diamond Jubilee Gala Dinner in Toronto. He sang "It's now or never" and "The wonder of you".
He will appear at IC2010 this August.

“I have not been to North America for almost two years. The fact is I have been kept rather busy setting up and consolidating organizations engaging in promoting business ethics in the Chinese context, first in Hong Kong and then in Beijing. The association set up in Hong Kong is known as the Association for International Business Ethics (AIBE). Its web site is: http://www.aibethics.org/. Fr. Deignan is one of the advisors. Then I am also helping the Jesuits in Macau in forming a Foundation to be registered in Macau and subsequently in China. The Jesuits there known as "CASA RICCI" led by Fr. Ruiz who is now 97 old have set up centres for cured lepers and children with AIDS in 10 provinces in China. In addition, I am responsible, as a technician for CASA RICCI, for a project known as "ABCD"-- Assets Based Community Development in Yunnan where credit union study clubs and micro financing play important roles amongst the poorest of the poor in the mountain areas. I am still in close touch with the Asian Confederation of Credit Unions. The Confederation has now 59,354 credit unions/co-operatives operating in 19 Asian countries with 70,130,000 individual members. All these, plus my duties in Hong Kong have been keeping me away from North America for the past two years.” -- from Andrew So Kwok-wing
