WYKAAO held its AGM 2014 and annual dinner on Saturday October 25 at Emperor Fine Chinese Cuisine. 8 tables of members, friends and guests attended. David Ho (’70) shared his experience and tidbits of life in Wah Yan, among other programs such as honour class and SAA awards presentation. The event wrapped up with a draw of grand prize donated by David Ho. Click here to see the pictures.

I would like to inform all of you that 2014/2015 is the 90/95 Anniversary of the Kowloon Wah Yan and Hong Kong Wah Yan. From September 2014 up to August 2015, there are series of events for celebrating this Anniversary. The Jesuit Education Forum is one of the events to be held in April 2015.

HK Credit Union Volunteers and 11th Kowloon Group Scouts had a happy Thanksgiving Day dinner with Andrew So (59) before he left for his flight back to HK.

"The Chinese Christian Mission (CCM) Toronto is presenting a very special young lady from Hong Kong at an Evangelical Concert this weekend.
Corinna Chamberlain, born and raised in Hong Kong, from a missionary family, speaks fluent Cantonese. She has gained popularity in HK recently and most who watch HK TV programs would know her.
Andrew So Kwok Wing (59) was invited by CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) to discuss with Desjardines the Canadian credit union system ealier this month in Quebec. He also attended the Cooperative Summit of the International Cooperative Alliance.
After his busy schedule, he will be in Toronto for two days.
Scouts and credit union volunteers have arranged a dinner with him on Monday, October 13 at 6:00PM before his plane leaves Toronto the next day at 1:45AM. Venue is Milliken Bar & Restaurant (金鐘閣) at 4016 Finch Ave.(Finch/Kennedy) All are welcome.

My Dear Wahyanites,
In times of uncertainty and controversy, what we need is calmness and wisdom, not violence. Democracy without loving respect would amount to crudeness and leadership void of the spirit of service would amount to authoritarianism. Neither crude democracy nor authoritarianism can bring joy and peace to our community.
