《Spring is gone - Mementos and Memories stay 》
My mentor is gone,
Leaving me books of days bygone,
Mementos of the man,
With memories that wax and wane.
Who's going to share in their reading?
Alone, wrapped in solitude, how saddening!
(Translated by Arthur Cheung '71)
Although he taught Math, he could have been a poet.

《At the crematorium》
The wind moans,
How it upsets our own.
The valiant one is gone,
No longer to be known.
The blossom may be lovely,
But it withers eventually.
As tears swell,
We bid farewell forever.
How saddened we feel,
No one can bear the view.
Mournful is the living,
Tears withholding,
As the casket is forthgoing
To the raging furnace,
Severing all links with worldly dustiness!
(English translation by Arthur Cheung '71)

《Visitation》
The snowstorm blow in vain,
As our united minds reign.
Kin and friends tribute pay,
Respect in their hearts will always stay.
Holy hymns the chorus sings,
Reverberating heavenly music as high as the sky!
A last viewing for a lasting memory,
Takes our sight up towards the overarching scenery,
Our mentor smiling,
By the Lord’s side enjoying.
In peace as he rests,
May our hearts too come to rest.
Heaven and earth do us part,
Yet our affection as deep present as past.
Long as the world would last,
May wholeheartedness bind our hearts!
( English translation by Arthur Cheung )
